Devon County Show

I must admit that I was amazed last year how quickly all the equipment and marquees were packed away and the Showground put back in good order. This year, having been blessed with such glorious weather, I am astonished! What can I say? The 114th Show will definitely be one to remember, not because of wind and rain, but because of sunshine, warmth and crowds of smiling people. Today the Showground looks as though the Show has not yet taken place and congratulations must go to the Showground Staff, contractors and the Works Office stewards not just for clearing up but for also preparing the Showground beforehand to such a high standard, I hope you will agree it looked absolutely immaculate.

The overall attendance as of today is just under 91,500 - and anyone who was here on Saturday at the Show will agree, it was a bumper day. Yes, there were a few glitches with car parking, but nothing that could not be overcome and from comments recieved, most of those who were effected appreciated the bottles of cold water and complimentary ice creams delivered to those held up in the car parks, or waiting for transport at the Coach and Taxi point.

The Devon County Agricultural Association is very proud of the Devon County Show but we never 'sit on our laurels'! I therefore write to extend my heartfelt thanks to you Wendy and to all the team for your part in putting on the County Show - no mean task but every contractor is considered a member of our Show team.
